Actually I don't know why. but it does piss me off because I dont' listen to it that much so I always have to open the book to see what the hell I'm listening to.

yeah, when i first popped it in, i wanted to listen to black and blue and i turned it to the number according to the back and it wasn't it. i figured it was just a typo, but it isnt

That wasn't unusual for Van Halen though. On all the lp's leading up to OU812, the songs are listed out of order everywhere but on the actual lp itself. In fact, 1984 doesn't show the song titles at all except for on the lp.

Yeah I always have to open the booklet, but with time you learn the order.

Wait a minute, am I misunderstanding something here, Glenn? When you say "actual lp" do you mean the album or the CD? Because all of my Dave-era CD's have the songs listed, including 1984. And they're all in the right order. I also have the double tape of WACF and FW, and those songs are listed in the right order. The only difference I've seen is on my "Van Halen I" tape, the second to last track is On Fire, and Ice Cream Man is last. On the CD it's the other way around.

I probably would have blamed putting the order of the songs out of order on Dave but I guess somebody in the band kept on doing it. Pretty dumb in my book.
