How 'bout a THANKS to Dave and Sam?

So much anger in these boards... But I haven't really seen any thanks going out to these two guys for bringing many of us a show that we have waited so many years for... And a show that many of us won't forget! Sure you can pick sides, but did any of us really beleive we would have a show with BOTH eras of VH (Not dissing Gary, but he only did a short stint with the band). I know I freaked when I found out Sam and Dave were touring because it was truly the best of both worlds. Sure it would have been that much better with Ed and Al and Mikey, but we all know with this band we have to take whatever we can to get satisfaction. [img]graemlins/bounce.gif[/img]

Amen, you know this is the first thread I recall in a long time that offers a positive tone and nobody responds to it LOL... its like, lets forget all about all the great songs over the years that these guys have given us and rip on them. Until I read this thread, I had almost totally forgotten about how unprecedented this tour really was. Whether they fought or not, it took some big balls to put on a tour like this. The fact that it was pretty successful is the icing on the cake. Thanks so much Sam and Dave! Get Ed and Al to come out next summer!

I live in Syracuse, NY. The site of what was supposed to be the last day of the tour. I was one of the suckers who bought my tickets the day they went on sale. I would read the reviews of shows as they passed, eagerly anticipating my turn to see them....but that show never happened.

Less than 36 hours before the show, Ol' FatMan and WonderBoy decide to have a fight and cancel the last two shows......

Now you want me to thank these two pricks? Dave and Sam can kiss my ass!!!

A hearty THANKS from me! Seeing these guys play in Boston was pretty much the high point of my summer. And I think having Sam and Dave on the road is helping the frustrated VH fan community as a whole...maybe preventing some of us from giving up on the band entirely.
