Who has a Bank of America home loan and/or equity line of credit? Happy, yes no?!

BOA is one of the major servicing lenders in the nation and you should have no trouble with them. It is also easier to get a second thru the lender you are currently with (in terms of fees and documentation). You may also check out the bank you use for your personal accounts. They will also offer reasonable rates to a current customer. Don't be surprised by the rates, though. Seconds are always higher than firsts. I already deleted today's rate sheets from my email, but I'm guessing your second may be around 10%. If you PM me with where you live, I can possibly suggest a stand-alone second lender who is reputable in your area. Also, if you've had an appraisal done on your house withih the last 4 mos, twist their arm to let you use that so you don't have to pay for another. Good luck

Yeah, the wife is heading over to see the BoA woman we dealt with 3 years ago when we refi'd from the original lender to BoA... Would really love to finish things up before winter and doing all the work on cash-flow and credit cards has finally caught up to us...
