Mikey can sing the Van Hagar tunes!

When Roth returns Mikey can do the Van Hagar tunes. I think Dave's reluctance to do Van Hagar tunes is a problem with Edward and Alex.

Sammy is obviously going to keep Mikey on the road as long as possible. So, if the reunion is agreed upon while Mikey is on the road, Ed and or Alex are going to have to put their foot down.

I don't think Ed and Al expect Dave to sing Sam-tunes. He has a hard enough time with the old stuff, I doubt they'd expect him to tackle songs that don't suit his voice in any way shape or form. It would just be the old stuff.

Most of this doesn't even make sense. What are you talking about? Was the reunion with Dave announced?

Besides that, who would WANT to hear the Hagar tunes if CVH got back together?

So many old tunes we haven't heard in 20 years, they BETTER not waste any stage time on Van Hagar songs.

Plus, Mikey's voice will be getting quite a workout on that tour if it were to happen.

We have had Hagar tunes form 20 years I am just fine with hearing OLD CVH for an entire show.

It doesn't matter because Sammy is still the lead singer in this band. In fact on the KLOS interview he said the Van Halen crew is working for him this summer and he and Mike are doing this Other Half because the brothers don't want to do anything and plus the fact the agreement Sam and the brothers reached was Sammy would do Van Halen and still to his solo thing with the Waboritas-nobody seems to remember that on this board.

Second, the bluegrass band was great, Dave was an embarassment. I could not see Eddie, Alex, and Mike getting up there with Dave, who still thinks he's relevant and cool. He looked like an idiot. Sammy is the only singer TODAY who can front this band, no matter how big his ego is! LOL! He can sing both old (not enough of it I agree) and new and still has his voice and range.

Dave is over, plain and simple.

Hate to say it, but when and IF Dave comes back...I don't think Mike will (so we still will not have a CVH reunion). And I would miss 'em if we had absolutly NO Van Hagar tunes.

It's a new tactic. Believe the reunion is set and in motion and maybe it will actually happen.

Didn't Sam have to convince Ed to bring Mike back for the 2004 tour? Obviously I want to see all 4 go out together, but Mike has sided with Sam and I think that is a problem for Ed. Maybe promoters need to insist on Mike being there...but I think all they care about is Ed and Dave.

As a "fencer" (one who likes both eras), I say can Van Hagar tunes
and bring out the classic six pack. I've got enough boots, live CDs
and Hagar-fronted concert experience to last a while.

Bring on the DAVE.

I see. Yes, Ed does hold a grudge.

For me, that ain't CVH just like you said.

Ed needs to get his head out of his ass, VH isn't JUST him and Alex because of the name. CVH is Dave Mike Ed and Alex. Nothing else.

I would not be pleased to attend a show with any other combination.

Which is why I've never been to a VH concert after 1984.
