Dweezil Zappa Confirms VH Reunion...Image proof!

This was sent to me by a poster at the PD, apparently there was a NAMM convention chat with Dweezil Zappa and he confirmed that Dave was indeed back recording with VH, or at least Ed.

but what does he mean he's in the studion with eddie? where is the rest of the band?
and i guess a new album in the next few months doesnt seem realistic anymore.

David Lee Roth Recording With Van Halen, According To Dweezil Zappa
(1/18/01, 6 p.m. ET) - The reunion of Van Halen and David Lee Roth is on, according to Dweezil Zappa. Roth, the original Van Halen lead singer who left the band in April 1985, is back with guitarist Edward Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Michael Anthony, and sessions for a new Van Halen album are well under way.

Zappa, who's known Edward Van Halen for years, told LAUNCH how far along the group is. "Well, I definitely know that they're recording, and they've already finished at least five or six songs," Zappa said. "I would imagine that they would like to tour, but they're just gonna go ahead and take their time and make the record. I just saw Eddie Van Halen. He's just making sure he likes everything he's working on."

Rumors have been swirling of a Van Halen album release in the first quarter of this year, but a Warner Bros. spokesperson said both first and second quarter seemed unlikely. In addition, the spokesperson declined to comment on the Roth/Van Halen reunion.

More information may be revealed this weekend since Michael Anthony is scheduled to unveil his new signature bass at the winter gathering of the International Music Products Association, which takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. Edward Van Halen is also rumored to be attending the event, but his participation was unconfirmed at press time.

Kinda off the beaten path but cool none the less, and cool thread BTW Brett, but did anyone see DZ sink that 50 ft. putt on the celebrity golf tourney last year? It was on ESPN2 I beleive, what a shot! He made it too and won the putting prize for this single event before the game.
