    I was doing some figuring...
I read that the Sam and Dave was one of the top Grossing tours of 2002 with an average of $350,000 a nite.

    $350,000
    x 45 shows
    --------
    $15,750,000
    You figure half for expenses
    $7,875,000
    Half for Sam, that leaves
    $3,937,500

So (VERY) roughly Dave walks away with at LEAST $4 Mil.

Seeing as how he hasn't done jack shit since 1998 except a few mediocre tours and disappears after each one...I figure with an injection of 4 Mil into his purse it's gonna be QUITE a while before we hear from our hero...

" I know what you're thinking: "Do I want to watch Mard? We know that horses were very strong and could actually stop airplanes from flying away. The ones made out of stone called "statues" -- occasionally came to life and rode off is a colonial cliche. How many more times do we need to hear about how the oppressive Raj's wore villainous black capes, crafted cunning plastic masks to impersonate people, and drained all the blood from their slaves so they could keep the fluid in bottles in their dungeons? I mean, YAWN!

But if you're willing to sit through this dry sort of historical drama one more time -- or even just this dry historical review -- you will not be disappointed. In fact, some of you might just learn something they didn't teach you in school!-

I really think that Roth will try to take advantage of whatever spot light the tour gave him/Sammy and try to run with it into another project. I could be wrong though.

i know this is just another anti-dave thread with all the usual pointless rhetoric... but i do want to throw in that i think dave will release some new music with his band that he toured with this summer- sometime within the next year... i think there will be some good music on it, and i also think that dave will be doing more than VH does in the next year (its easy to do more than nothing...)

I'm going to send this to the Speculation forum since that's basically what it involves.

I really hope Dave releases something soon, it's been far too long since we saw where he's at creatively (musically and lyrically). I was hoping the DVD would get released but I guess that's not going to happen. Dave's never going to be back in VH, it's time to either continue his solo career or retire. I'd prefer the former, but I'm not sure Dave isn't leaning toward the latter.
