Are we just diluting ourselves?

I believe that no matter what Sammy, Dave or anyone else but Ed says, VH really ain't over until we hear it straight out from Ed's mouth. Despite all the shit spewed from the mouths of all parties involved since 1996, I think we can all agree that when Ed says, "it's time to get back to the music", we should take it as gospel. Granted, no record label, no singer equals no band, but Van Halen will be back. I feel like Sammy is just trying to stir up the shit just to a)sell more tickets for his tour and b)get some movement out of Ed and Alex. At least that's the way I feel about it... who knows lately. The only thing that anybody who has followed this Van Halen fiasco for the past 6 years could agree on is that the last thing you can do with what Eddie Van Halen says is "take it as gospel". I mean, that's just plain laughable. Hell, the man should just change his middle name to fallacy and be done with it.

As far as the idea that Sammy is just trying to stir shit up, sell tickets, etc., from everything I've read about it so far, I think I'd have to agree with that. Of course, I'm also hoping that's the reason he's doing it as well.

It was either Eddie or Alex once said that, "We are a rock and roll band. It's not rocket science." I think that rocket science would be a hell of a lot easy to understand than this band. Of course, if we knew everything that was going on it probably would be like adding 1 + 1.

Maybe Sammy is trying to light a fire under Eddie and Al's asses?.What better way for them to get excited about music again then for Hagar to say they are finished.

I believe Dave tried to light a fire under their asses back in '85 and couldn't, so he grew tired of the shit and left the band. Ed and Al are like a couple of water soaked logs. Not much gets them fired up. Those that think Dave and Sam are the lazy ones in VH are "Ed and Al heads", which is ok as long as they see what is really going on.

I think EVH has been diluting himself a lil too much to dilude himself on the status of his band, career and family. Poor baby!
My advice... Drop the band, that will eliminate the pressures, press, and related problems... Get into AA and get yourself sober and be your kids father (Yes I listen to Dr Laura). Win Val back by proving you can do it. Eliminate the triggers...
