I say one big thread expressing our disapproval is what we need to send to MTV. This is it, everybody reply to this letting MTV know how tasteless and obnoxious they were.

Mocking one of the most popular rock bands of all time was low. Especially since Jump, Panama, and Hot For Teacher was plastered all over your shitty little channel and that carried into the 1990's with Right Now. Nothing like biting the hand that fed you!!!
Impressive MTV, especially since almost every band and presenter there tonight will be on the "Where Are They Now?" in a mere five years.

I am definitely going to write a long ass email stating that eMpTV can go fuck themselves and die. Those fuckers, how dare they bash our band. That was probably the worst spectacle and music awards show I have ever seen. What the hell is this world coming to. Yes, Fred Durst you are the most hated rock band because the shit MTV plays and you play is not rock. It's fuckin' rap with an electric guitar!! Duh, most of us in the group can do that. he happens to have a very cool job in production, but he's not one of the head honcho assholes who use and abuse artists for mtv's benefit.

Hey guys. I have not seen the VMA's but after what you have been telling me, I am disgusted with the way Van Halen has been portrayed. Again! I actually apologize for their "Flavor of the Moment" tactics, but you know I will be a voice for you. I work in Animation, and believe it or not, they treat us like outcasts too. ( Maybe we partially deserve that.) You want to let them have it?

Alex Colletti and Jen Demme are the producers of the VMA's. (i.e.- You can email them like this. 'Jen.Demme@mtv.com') Say you got their names from the credit role if you wish to go right to the top. Tell them what you think of their tactics. Also, email 'mtv.com' and let them know your feelings on their VMA Opinions page. In addition, go to 'vh-1.com' and create your own music award show. Create your own category and pick your winner. The most popular categories will be announced at the end of November on a VH-1 special. I started a "Greatest Guitar Player" category for Eddie but I am not sure if they would take my vote because I am a Viacom employee. Create different categories for Best Rock band, Guitar, frontman, etc. and just flood the site with Van Halen answers. We are bound to get them in their somewhere.

Hey VanEdge and VHLinks- Look for two college aged kids holding up posters that say, "VAN HALEN LIVES!" on Monday's TRL. They are giant posterboards in blue sharpie ink. The two kids are some of my interns that have obligingly volunteered to do the honors for a few hours. I am buying them lunch anywhere in the city for it.
