We have all heard Sam sing doing some Dave era songs in concert, like Panama and Jump. If Dave was to tour with VH again and agreed to do a couple Sam era songs, or Gary songs for that matter, what songs would you like to see him try and why?

Awards:
Welcome aboard man
I cant see it happening - even if Roth does come back.. but if it did... Summer nights and Finish what you started would be the obvious choices. I think Dave could possibly give Runaround a bit of a seeing-to as well.
Can't see any Cherone material happening though. To nominate one for the exercise though, I think he could probably do something with 'dirty water dog's lyricsA little zen....... Headed your way.......

Like Goo said, I can't see Dave singing any Sammy songs. He doesn't have the vocal range to sing most of them, and he surely wouldn't have the desire to sing any of them. The last thing I'd want to see is Dave half assing his way through songs that he doesn't believe in; that would be bad for the show and bad for his relationship with the band.
If I had to choose a few though, I'd go with Finish What Ya Started, Summer Nights, Black and Blue or Top of the World.

I'd sorta like to hear a few Hagar songs from Roth. But I always wondered why Dave hates Sammy. Is he jealous because Sam took away the spot he thought he'd always have?

I think Dave truly believed that when he left Van Halen, they were going to die. They didn't, and because of that he's got no choice but to shit on everything they've done since he left.
I think if VH would have failed without him, Dave wouldn't have near the negative attitude towards Sammy.
Having said that, I'll bet that if you dropped Dave and Sammy into the same bar, they'd be telling war stories in no time.

I personally would like to see what he could do with Summer Nights. Also, Sammy said he wants to play again with VH when they are inducted into the hall of fame. Could you see the 5 of them on stage together for a photo shoot!

I can't see Dave doing any Sammy songs. I don't think I'd want him to, either. Dave's are Dave's and Sam's are Sam's.
And Cat Stevens' are Cat Stevens'. But this is beside the point...

FURTHER THREAD HIJACKING:
Anybody think it's slightly ironic that the man had a hit with a Christian Church hymn (Morning Has Broken), only to end up Muslim later in life?"Just once I'd like to do the right thing and not get punished for it."

No choice? He probably would've made fun of them whether they died or not. I still think that he did it out of jealousy. But of course I don't know that, so I'm not gonna raz Dave.

I think it'd be cool to hear Dave try to sing Poundcake, "5150," or Get Up.
