I have the answer for Van Halen. I do. I know what would work. Just do what Santana did--an album of new material with guest vocalists. You get Dave back for one. You get Sammy back for one. You get Gary back for one. And then...Rob Halford. Dave Grohl. Fred Durst. Dexter Holland. James Hetfield. Be honest here: Who would not pay good money to hear Robert Plant front Van Halen, if only for one song?
