I'm startin' to get sick of these people talkin' about how early Van Halen is the ONLY Van Halen. I got two words for you guys "WHO CARES". It's all great music and it's all Van Halen. Who gives a shit who sold more. Van Halen was just as good whith Sam as they were with Dave (Could've done better with Gary though). I mean man, it's all just rock 'n' roll. It's music man. Don't get all into this crap and say one is better than the other. Van Halen is Van Halen, you have to respect what they do, and most all the time they make great descisions. They're stuff from '78-'84 was just as good as '86-96'. If you don't like it fine, but stop disrespectin' art.

To me Van Halen was 1000 times better with Dave. That doesn't mean I don't respect the Sammy era. I just like the Dave era way more.

This is where you lose me - you're claiming it's a *fact* that it's all Van Halen and equally good, and then saying VH3 could have been better.
