Dude was big and then just disappeared. He was like a 1950's singer singing in the 1990's.

Was in the car with my beautiful wife a lot this weekend driving around locally, and she likes this new country shit, so that is what we were listening to on the radio.

Dear God, this shit sucks. Jason Aldean, Morgan Wallen, all of it.

All the song subjects are the same, the keys are the same, the tempos are the same, the production is the same. Blecht.
If I don't respond to you it means I have you on ignore, which means you are a douchenozzle.

Emperor Brett - "I can't believe you guys are analyzing song-by-song Van Halen III? What next, analyzing the script of Stroker Ace looking for some shred of Citizen Kane?"

David Lee Roth did the impossible. He made Van Halen better. Deal with it!

    Agreed. I don't entertain it.

As beautiful is as she was, Shania Twain was the beginning of the end for the genre. Her music is sooo bad. I was young and stupid and so I thought she was great, but she was really just watered down Madonna or something.

I'm too old to just cut somebody a break for having a petty face.

Musically, she sucked. Her band was terrible also. Very mechanical and overproduced.

I think one can look at any rock genre and find moments of cringe. Country is in it but there is some good new stuff out there. Most music being made today isn't for 55 year old guys at VH message boards. Its for 23 year old Woo Hoo girls who want to dance. I can imagine in 1988 some guys who listened to Black Sabbath, The Doors, LZ, Who, Stones and the Beatles were commenting on Bon Jovi, Stryper, and even Van Halen asking how does one know when its love.

There is good music out there that isn't cheesy like how Metallica was putting out music when hair spray was king.

Yes music was better prior to Pop Country in the 90's but I imagine people said the same thing about pop metal.

Shania Twain reminds me of 90s country. Every vid on CMT was her genre. Of course all the girls loved it. LeAnn was pretty popular as well...

    That's overboard.

She writes her own stuff, and yes, Mutt Lange turned her into a star, but the raw talent was there, and before all her medical conditions, she could sing, and she puts on a good show. Of course, if she wasn't hot she would have been nowhere near as popular.

But neither would a shit load of musical acts.

Back in the 90s, literally every vid on CMT was either Garth Brooks or Shania Twain. I never liked Garth but I didn't mind Shania, for obvious reasons...hehe

Listen Pal- You better watch your mouth talking shit about Shania Twain like that she is a national treasure up here around my parts and I’ll be damned to sit idly by while you mouth off like that I’d like to belt you in the mouth buster.

Shania Twain is an iconic princess of pop country music who has been highly respected and inspirational to many people throughout the years who enjoy her music. She still sells out areas and has been very successful with her Las Vegas residency this past year. Even the Scorpions like her she attended their show in the front row and took a photo together for the internet.

Whether you like her or not is irrelevant. That’s just like your opinion dude. So shut the fuck up.

ALAN JACKSON is my favourite . He is the real deal not like so many of those othe candy ass sissy boys strutting around in cowboy hats singing about pick up trucks.

. I love this song Where I come from as well as Pop A Top & several others.
