i have not received a reply from my contact as of yet and it is 1:30 pm pdt.

i am taking this as a good sign though. evryone is silent, and the silence of my contact(s) goes right along with everything. my guess is that we are very close to something. i would say something before sept 1st.

if i do find out anything, i will post the message here as soon as i read it.

that is cool! you can believe what you want. i have nothing to prove to you or anyone else. yes, i do know people who work with van halen in some capacity. people like myself, sherm, and brad (mostly tose two guys though) try to help where we can. now, while i am not as tied in as they are to vh, i am simply trying to help poeple know what is going on, that is all. you telling me "whatever" is merely a sign that you are judging people based on what you *think*, and not what you know. if that's going to be the case with you, so be it. now i know not to take whatever you say to heart because it doesn't mean anything and it's done with no thought at all.

I think you get the rather indifferent replies because you haven't explained yourself, JMJ. Why should your guess be any better than anyone else's? Like the other night, where you kept hinting that you had some news but wouldn't spill it. Credibility isn't something we give out easily here, as the past several months' disagreements quite readily illustrate.

JMJ, I would not take what people say here to seriously. Here we have a bunch of fans that have been waiting for some "valid" form of information for 9 months. Some folks here getting a bit anxious. In spite of that I am interested in knowing what you have to say. For me, trying to find a logically consistant thread amongst the various rumors makes the waiting fun.

i finally received a reply from my contact in los angeles this weekend.

he said that he would love to chat about a vh reunion, but that he has no information to share with me at this time.

with that in mind, i'm putting all my stock in the february rumor. it's my logical guess that there are legalities goin on with ray daniels and perhaps others. it is also my guess that since my buddy knows nothing right now, there is nothing slated, just as WB says, at least for the remainder of the 2000 campaign. guess we're gonna have to wait a bit more.

Well I think if VH is their client that's a big enough story to keep secret no matter how close a friend you are. I mean we know stuff is going on. I'll still keep my hope for someting before the year is over but I'll not let it get too far. I admire your effort though JMJ!

It's obvous that you want to be liked and that's cool. Because, in the end, who doesn't?
