More like WB will be releasing the box set. I wonder if any one in the VH camp had anything to do with it.
I'm sure we'll see some kind of VH product next week if/when they get inducted into the Rock Hall. I'm convinced that despite all of the events of the past 6 years VH will get in the first year they are eligible."Right Now.....Mike is thinking about a solo project."<br /><br />"Victory has a thousand fathers. Brad is dealing from the VH side of the table. WB has the right to put out anything they want from the band's past whenever they want. Communication might be so skewed in VH land that most of the camp don't even know about it yet. For God's sake according to recent reports they haven't called their bass player in months.

Ross... I'm not sure that WB has the ability to release any of the catalog freely without VH consent. When the split occurred Brad mentioned WB would require VH consent to release material.
The legalities are complicated but if WB had bought the studio time for the recordings then they held a controlling interest in releasing them... But since 1984 majority of relased material was recorded at 5150 which may give VH greater control over the catalog and publishing rights. I believe VH owns controling rights of the material recorded during the sessions at 5150... so WB may have no access to unreleased material as well. If they financed the masters they may have possesion of that part of the catalog... but only the attornys know the real deal....Woke up this mornin, got Blue Moon in your eyes...

There have only been 2 box sets released where it concerns Van Halen, but I don't believe the band had anything to do with them, though they were released by Warner Bros. Japan. They are both available in Japan only, and each one covers the res[ective Dave and Sam eras. Supposedly, the discs have been remastered, but it's never really been confirmed. Each box comes complete with stickers, pins, a full color booklet, and the lyrics in both English and Japanese. The Hagar set also includes a mini-CD of "Mine All Mine" and "Eagles Fly" in the "L:RHRN" collection. These sets used to be carried at The Inside/The Van Halen Store, but they're no longer there.

Crown thy good into temptation but deliver us from the twilight's last gleaming. Amen and Awomen. ."

If, for some insane reason, WB has retained masters to anything VH has done, and it's in the contract that WB has full authority over them, guess what? They can, and will, release anything and everything they have.
This has happened to dozens of artists over time. They leave a label, or get dropped, and the original parent label has the right to relase whatever they want without the artist's consent."Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."

I don't doubt what this guy is saying--all the technical mumbo jumbo. But if it's the same voice recording being used, as he claims, wouldn't the vocal lines of his analysis line up perfectly? They...
