Former VAN HALEN front man DAVID LEE ROTH has angered broadcast bosses with his diva antics on his new radio talk show.

The rock star, who replaced controversial shock jock HOWARD STERN when he moved to satellite radio company SIRIUS at the beginning of the year (06), is reportedly driving executives crazy with his demands.

One tells the New York Daily News, "This guy (Roth) is impossible to work with. A real arrogant, self-righteous a**."

Roth is less than enthusiastic about his new gig and never bothers to prepare for a show and leaves five minutes after he is finished.

The exec adds, "It's almost like he wants to get fired and take the money and run."

Roth also demanded expensive renovations to Stern's former radio studio and then refused to use it citing "asbestos contamination".

He also ripped down the walls of a temporary studio because he feared there was dust behind the walls.

The exec comments, "He swears he is allergic to dust and smoke, but (he) smells like an ashtray."

Before scoring his latest radio job, Roth was working as an emergency medical technician in New York City.

Let's face it, Dave's an ass hole.

He's a great "character". What we see when he's acting is very entertaining, but as a person, all signs in the last twenty years is that he's an eotistical ass.

...so it appears that Roth has a phobia (irrational fear) of dust. What hidden fear is manifesting itself within his latest phobia?? Could it be that Roth just can't get it up on air? Break out the Jack DLR, and be your true self Dave! I'd listen to on-air DLR drunk

I remember entire concerts where we paid good money, and got laid, just by listening to a couple hours of the DLR Rap. JD is the answer.. Somebody get Dave a bottle!

Nah, I doubt it. Dave is an asshole. Just ask Sammy, Eddie, Alex, Mike and just about everyone else who has worked with him.

Maybe he is? But VH brothers & SH are no angels either!!! You've just gotta accept that its unlikely that any of these guys are gonna change their ways now. Yes its frustrating but maybe if they were all nice guys we'd have had ten cds of Bon Jovi type music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess if you want Dave, you have to take some of the crap that comes with him. Don't get me wrong, I like Dave and I enjoy his show.

And they original band would still be together, have a album currently on the charts and be touring today.

I don't want VH to be EXACTLY like Bon Jovi, but there has to be somewhere in-between the two that they could go so they could at least work together.
