Who owns the catalog?

I was wondering about this the other day, because I don't think the Van Halen catalog has ever been digitally remastered and re-released. So does Warner Bros. and their just not putting any effort into it? or does Van Halen own it and they aren't putting the effort in to it?(Of course without a label how can anyone put an effort in to it)

The first 6 albums have been remastered.

WB owns the current catalog and as Goo says the 1st 6 releases were already remastered.

Wasn't there some talk a little while back that the Sammy era cds have been remastered and WB is just sitting on them?
They should go ahead and release them if that is true.
