My reasoning for the continued silence

I do think that and album is either done or almost done. I think the reason for the silence is that they are STILL not 100% sure they can deal with each other on a tour or in promotions, etc. He wants to make 100% sure that touring with Dave is possible without killing each other. I think Eddie knows that singer No. 4 (barring somebody like Robert Plant which would never happen) would be the end of VH. However, I think he would rather call it quits and score movies or shit like that than go out on tour with Dave and have to cancel it because of personal reasons, bitching, fighting, etc. That would be a worse let-down than retirement in my opinion. I would like to hear a new album though, but not at that expense.
