I met Mitch Malloy at the Nashville NAMM show on Sunday

I was walking around at the NAMM show and after a while,you stop looking at nothing but a persons name tag when they walk by you.
Low and behold,I pass Mitch Malloy.I wasn't going to bother him at first,but then I thought I had to ask him some VH questions.

He was real cool;and we talked for about 10 minutes.
He said that it was more of his decision,not EVH's to not be the singer.He thought that the material Ed was playing for him was left field(for a VH record)and that Ed totally wanted to be a control freak about the whole album.(which we all pretty much know)
His friends evidently thought he was out of his mind by not doing back flips over the idea of being in VH,But all that he said to them was that they could not begin to understand the whole scene.

All in all,he was very cool and initiated most of the conversation.
Just thought you all would like to hear about that.

And as far as the singer issue is concerned,he smiled at me and said "I honestly don't know"
Whatever.

I did however talk to my friend and Mid Atlantic Peavey factory rep John Howren.
Straightbfrom the Peavey mouth,the record with Dave is in the can and there will be an announcement on the tour soon.
IT IS a done deal!!!

So Sherman was telling the truth and Brad was lying.
Not wanting to start anything here but why did Brad come in here and discredit Sherman when he was telling the truth and then leave to never return? ANSWER - Sherman was telling to much.

No one ever heard of the Mitch Malloy story before Sherman told everyone.

As much fun as it may be to diss this guy for his image shots,I can tell you that he is one intense fucker.And I only spoke to him briefly.
The sheer fact that HE turned down the VH gig takes tremendous balls,But it was probably the smartest thing that he ever did in hindsight.VHIII was a flop and most "true"VH fans don't even dig it that much.
I think MItch is probably a super focused musician that has a picture of his road ahead.And if he is a true talent(that Eddie VH loves by the way)then he would be a welcome addition to an ever downward level of quality in today's recording industry.

Has anybody ever heard any of his stuff,I'd like to know what it sounds like.
