i don't believe any of it, to be quite honest.
it seems rather contrary to the things we've heard directly from Mike and how Ed appeared on that Peavey tape.

Yeah there are some anomalies - like Dave only being offered 125k for a BOV2 but VH being offered up to 135m for a reunion tour.

But I do think that a lot of powerplay has gone on - I wouldn't be surprised if things did break down at least once. Sammy indicated that late last year. I think there's much more to the story than "they're just making sure it's done right" at this stage.

Ahh, good to see the rumors flying. I agree with most, that this is farther from than closer to the truth. Oh well the truth will set us free.....someday.

To all that worked on it, the updated site looks tremendous. I don't visit here enough lately.. job,wife, kids, selling the house. Plus with no end in sight to the silence, it doesn't make the multi-daily visits as urgent. Hopfully that will change soon.

This does corelate nicely with what Dave hinted at in his recording at Slawterhouse. Of course, the person writing this rumor knew what was in Dave's message, so they'd be dumb not to make it work that way.

I don't know, this seems to make a lot of sense to me.

Think about it. What reason could there be for silence this long, other than contract issues. If everything was set and music was being made, you would think that they would have made some kind of announcment by now. I really doubt they would want to piss off the fans for this long, and yes, its starting to piss me off.

It sounds to me like Dave is getting low balled and he is not going to stand for it.

Contract issues seem to make the most sense.

Maybe that is why Ed was seen in Toronto recently. Perhaps he had a meeting with RD in an attempt to finalize the termination of his services?

Dave did hint at this last week, then what happens?(the contract issue that is)

Some hot shot reporter trying to make a name for him/herself takes that and adds more speculation to it.

But I'm in agreement with many that think that contract issues are whats the cause for the "NON"-response from the band and Dave whether he is in or not.

I also strongly believe that this is why many of the past rumors by myself and other people with "contacts" haven't happend.

Some past rumors have sounded crazy, yet some were very possible. And until we here from Ed,Al,Mike & Dave, then we will continue to get rumors. So lets just take them as they are, RUMORS.

But this adds more to my gut feeling that we're never going to get more than one studio album and one tour out of this lineup.

I'm not too keen on this article either, although suddenly I'm starting to wonder if Mike's comments weren't just a smokescreen to keep the public at bay, likewise with Ed's.

Dont know how much is true either, but I did get a charge out of the part about Dave wanting a clause that states the rest of the band cannott fire him. I think this is his way of getting the band to use the name Van Halen only if he is in the band.
