Sweet. Thanks man. I noticed one thing that surprised me though, considering how dirty the fretboard is I'm assuming that Ed played it a bit. However, I'm surprised that there is no cig burn on the headstock. Awesome guitar and I'm jealous.

Hey there folks!
I hate to burst everyones bubble but I knew the minute that I saw that guitar that it is a fake! It was built by Ed Roman of Ed Romans guitars. I have seen Ed Roman's work and it is textbook. I have also had the great pleasure of seeing and playing MANY of eddies REAL kramer guitars and I can tell you that guitar is not one of them!!

KATN, if Romans work is "textbook", how would you know it was his from a picture? Or are you going off a hunch? I know its doubtful that it was actually eds, but I also know that there are certainly some guitars out there that ed has no idea where they went.

Hey Seenbad,
What I meant was that the guitar was textbook Ed Roman, (all wrong and not like ed's kramers at all), not textbook Kramer Van Halen. That is why it is so easy to tell that it is fake!
I am wondering if the guy really got duped or he is just duping the people on that list. Someone should contact him and tell him to post the alleged pictures of Ed with the guitar, if they exist.

Its definitely a fake. The Kramer logo is really bad, the truss rod adjustment is at the headtsock (Eddie's were at the bottom of the neck), the star is painted on (Eddie's were space tape stickers), I could go on and on. I hope the poor guy didn't pay too much for it.

It's this string of bullshit that lets me know the guy is the bullshittingest bullshitter ever to bullshit. He's trying to sell a guitar.

Ed's lawyers can't stop people from selling one of his guitars if you legitimately own it, that's a bunch of shit.

I have been buying and selling guitars for some time. As I get new ones that are better than something I already have, I sell off the lesser ones. After doing this for years, I have some of the greatest guitars ever. So I simply started to include Eddie's stuff in the search through my channels (usually EBay). I came across one of the road crew guys for the 5150 tour on Ebay. He was auctioning off one of Ed's guitars. Unfortuantely for him, Eddie's lawyers put a stop to his auction. They claimed that he could not legally sell the guitar due to the paint job. From what I understand, it's like a trademark or something like a company logo. The Van Halen business makes money under this "symbol" so it cannot legally be sold. So, the auction was stopped.

Can you beleive that shit? I can't.

I tried to post on that board and my computer does not want to co-operate. Could someone post on there that the gtr is questionable and request that he post pictures of ed with the guitar if he even has them.
