Other SoCal ppl will probably confirm that, but I've noticed lately that there's almost as much solo Sam being played on the radio (namely KLOS) as there is VH, all eras included.
It didn't used to be like that, certainly not when "Ten 13" was released. It barely got played on the radio.
I'm hearing the new single several times a day. And KLOS is a big radio station in California.
This is the most I've ever heard solo Sam on the radio!
That's really weird, considering that his record is not widely distributed. And it's strange he not taking the opportunity of this exposure to market anything...
I really have the impression he's keeping a bunch of aces up his sleeve.
Apparently, it could be Planet Us.Little Dreamer

Yeah....I've noticed a lot more Sammy recently on KLOS too. I've actually heard them play "things've changed" quite often.
I don't know what the deal is with KLOS because they ignored 10/13 when it came out. I actually heard, "best of both worlds" then other night, and I was shocked, because they never play that song. For the most part, I only listen to KLOS because there ain't nothing else out there. We need a station a la KNAC back in the LA area.If you shake my hand better count your fingers - Mustaine

Well, this morning Mark and Brian were talking about how Sammy has accepted to play on their Christmas show so that may be one reason why they are playing more Sammy. You know the old saying
"You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours."What is understood, need not be discussed.

I sure wish they'd play more Jeff Scott Soto.

I can say that here in the DC area it has been years since I heard a Sammy solo or Dave solo song on the radio. DC 101 played Slam Dunk! when itcame out in 98, but none of the other releases off DLR Band. And unfortunately, the last Sammy solo song I heard get some air time was Mas Tequila.
Sad but true.

Here in CT, the only thing I've heard a lot lately is Van Halen w/ DLR. I did hear some Sammy-Van Halen but nothing from his solo work.

I guess i am lucky here in Wisconsin because i have two radio stations that play a lot of van halen. I usually here van halen at least once a day between these two stations if not more. They play both classic van halen and van hagar. They even play hagars solo stuff, and today i heard hagar's new song "things have changed." His new song is pretty good.
