It's all fine and good that the remasters make the albums sound better but it'd really be nice if bonus tracks were included on the records. I understand that they wanna keep the integrity of the original release but at the same time, us fans wouldn't mind a few extra tunes to put a different spin on those classic albums.

I'm against messing with the sequencing and content of the original albums, but maybe if they could've done like U2 did with All That You Can't Leave Behind and The Best Of 1980-1990 and have a second CD in the jewelcase with the bonus tracks on that, that would've been okay. Well sort of, because I still would've had to buy the same music all over again. Nah, just give us Glenn's box set with all the stuff we need right there!

putting extra's on remasters is the way record companies cheat fans into buying the same songs. and do you notice that the extra songs they put on are inferior? take ALICE for example he has done a few remasters and the extra's are mostly just the originals done live and demos. that's why i have no interest in them.

I was against the idea of remastering when I first heard about it, mostly because Motley Crue had just remastered and released albums, some of which weren't more than a few years old. That left a bad taste in my mouth. But, of course, I quickly jumped on board the good ship 'Halen and was excited about hearing the VH albums redone.

And at that point I was against them adding extra tracks because I felt like it took away from the integrity of the original album. But to be honest, now that time has gone by, I wish they had added extra tracks to the albums.

But here's how I wish record companies would do it; supposing they add 2 tracks to each VH cd, they should have also released the 12 extra songs on a single cd for anyone to buy if they didn't want to buy the albums all over again. I know, there's no way that would ever happen, but I have all of the Motley Crue original cd's, and even though I would have loved to hear all the bonus tracks they added, I didn't buy a single one of their remasters, but I would have bought a cd that had all the extras on one disc.

    Of course, they could

I think VH should dedicate an entire album to leftovers. That way if we get tired of the studio albums there'll be some songs to listen to that we've never heard before even though they're not new.

I don't think they should include bonus tracks on the remasters, but they should release an album (possibly a double album) of all demos.
