hmmm I am a big YJM fan, and I don't really care for Soto's vocals much.
but if they go with a multi singer thing, hey why not. He would make as much since as anyone elseI SURVIVED TEXAS LINKERS WEEKEND I, II, III, IV and VI and VII.barely made it to VIII time to slow down
I musta had a broken middle finger for V

You think that sounds like Eddie?
They make it pretty plain that those samples are from Humanimal, and the guitarist is Pontus Norgren. Doesn't sound at all like Ed to me.
When are you going to pay up?

This guitar player is influenced by Ed, there is no doubt about it. however, it is most definately not Ed. Many can copy his style but none can put the feel and timing to it and Ed's playing is very unique and easy to pick apart IMO. I will take that stock in small bills please, 5's, 10's and 20's only

I have never heard of the band before this post, although I thought he sounded pretty good from what I heard on their site.

I have to agree with ericgtr. I had not heard Jeff Scott Soto's work before -- I checked out the soundbytes and thought his vocal range is impressive (not to mention his discography).
Why would anyone say Soto sucks? Can YOU sing like that, even in your imagination? We're all allowed to have an opinion, I guess. Personally, I can't see (or hear) any reason why Soto would "suck". The guy is talented and there is no denying that. I don't know if he's right for VH, but the guy has talent.Give me ambiguity or give me something else!

Actually, one of the most surprising and dead-on Roth impersonations I've ever heard is on a live bootleg I've got of Dream Theater covering "Mean Streets". As weird as it sounds, James LaBrie does a freakin' SCARY Roth impersonation, and NAILS the patented Roth banshee scream better than anyone else I've ever heard!
Kinda cool at the end, too... James clearly says; "Dave... come back... we need you!" So clearly, we at least know what Dream Theater thinks about the matter! LOL
SBSWhat, me, worry?

Is this the guy that did the vocals on the movie Rock Star with Mark Walberg and Jennifer Aniston? I think the guy has a hell of a voice and a collaboration with Eddie would sound very cool.
