why is it that some of us are believing what he is saying now? shit that he quit, or that the brothers are spacy, etc. why are we putting so much stock in the negative stories he is telling when we don't even know for sure what is going on? everyone was all hyped up when he told us vh would be back again and again with this singer and that album yadda yadda yadda and what did we get? nada zip zero. why is what he said at pepper's any different from what he said in the last 2 years? it's not.

and i suppose there are people thinking that ed's announcement is real close to the sam/dave tour and mike's visit to pepper's but so what? mike has spoken out numerous times in the past 2 years so why would ed wanna jump onto it now? there's no fire to fuel here, unless ed is really ready to make a comeback now as he said he is. for all intensive purposes, most people think vh is dead and gone, cept for the rabbid folk like us. i just don't get why people are getting all bummed about mikey at pepper's. like he's gonna have all these fans there and tell some people that shit is goin down the wrong way; i do not buy it at all

Agreed, if Mike did say he had quited or that the brothers live in others realities, doesn't really matter because he also said that Dave didn't accept a 40 million for the reunion, c'mon how can Dave not accept that.
What can we expect from this quotes if they are not on their web-sites, if it was a real announcment it would be all over the place, they just whant to make some noise.
Eddie says he is alright that means they'll be back hopefully with Dave or Sam but with Michael also.
Just hope Mike's saying this time won't happen like the other times.

I was there. As far as I know, he didn't say anything about shit going down the wrong way.

I think today, we know more than we have in the past 2 1/2 years.

Hopefully, Eddie will be talking at the LAPD Celebrity Golf Tournament on May 18th.

Mike didn't say that he quit.

There's MORE to an agreement, or a contract, than just the dollar amount. All the other terms of the attempted reunion is what we don't know.

Mike didn't quit. He made that perfectly clear at Pepper's.

What he did state was that in order to be able to play with Sammy for both dates in Vegas, he had a sit down with Al and had to agree that he would NOT play with either Dave and/or Sam on their tour, the "Sam & Dave" tour. It had nothing to do with playing with just Sam.

His exact words to me were: "The band is on an extended break. I got tired of just sitting around doing nothing. I love to play, and that's what I wanted to do."

Personally, I think it's bullshit he had to basically beg and plead with Al to do the dates at the Fillmoore and Vegas with Sam. Why keep the band on an "extended break", but not allow anyone else to pursue their own interests???

I find it disturbing that Al is still hung up on who Mikey plays with no matter who they are. Mike should have told Al he can take his drumsticks and cram them up his ass. I'm playing with who I want to.
