One thing I forgot to mention, Sammy has to play guitar on most of this. The last time I saw Sammy in concert, I was somewhat disappointed that he did not play more guitar than he did.

Ah, I shoulda known you'd be old school, 79th. You're a St. Louis area native. And no city has been kinder to Sammy, especially in the early years, than STL.

I wish I had a buck for every time KSHE played "Red" or "Cruisin and Boozin" or "This Planet's on Fire" back when we were kids. I'd be one rich dude!

Sammy rules in St Looey and he knows it. It was always cool seeing him come to town--it was like he cranked it up a couple of notches for the old fans. I remember him getting ready to play his "Eagles Fly/Give to Live" acoustic solo on the Balance Tour at Riverport. While he was noodling around before the tune, he played the intro to "Three Lock Box". The crowd, which was settling down, preparing for a soft acoustic number, just about came unglued (myself included). [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]
Sammy just smiled and said, "Just seein' if you guys remembered".

I am going to the show at the Riverport this summer. Outta be fun. Sammy is helping KSHE support their 34th year of Rock in STL. I am 33 so you know how long I have been listening.

WOW!!! This topic is actually a bit overwhelming for me to really sit down and come up with a perfect list. I mean, Sam has got 25+ years of great music to choose from and to squeeze all that into 3 hours (4 if he's in St. Louis...ha! ) is a bit much. I just got a Sammy in Detroit show from 1985 and it is incredible! I really think Sam should dump the Wabs and get the VOA band back! OK...enough with that...here's a list of songs...
