"Kudos" to the Moderators

The Moderators of this site deserve praise for the "zero tolerance" policy on racial or religious attacks. At the end of the day, Dave fan or Sammy fan, we are all part of an ever-shrinking minority of people still actively interested in VH-related topics. There is no place for anti-Semitism or other racial hatred on these Boards.

As for Bob's "reltih floda", it seems more like "resol tihspid gnikcuf." GO AWAY.

Hey, stereotypes do have merit, thats why certain characteristics are well known for some religions, races, and ethnic groups. Being half Italian I know the stereotypes of my WOP half but calling me that name or lumping me or all Italians with those stereotypes is offensive.

Seems like people from that particular group, whatever it may be, can and do say racial/offensive remarks about one another without problem black/****** , Italian/WOP, jew/kike, etc... I agree with that. That is their right-period!!!

But for others to say those things, especially in a forum such as this, is totally wrong. Enough of the world has to hear that shit (and to be honest, I think we may all utter a name/stereotype now and again) so we don't need it here talking music. None of us want to hear or read it.

The world is a nasty place and being a VH fan is a nasty hobby. Most of the people who come here already have enough anger and frustration over the lack of any meaningful news, the Sam-vs-Dave saga, or just conflicting personalities. The last thing we need is racism or religious predjudice infesting the board too.

I'm not a very religious person at all, but I'm proud of my Jewish heritage and there's enough bigotry in the world as it is period. There is no place on a Van Halen board for stuff like that, especially one where the webmaster happens to be Jewish. Swearing and cursing is one thing, I have a foul mouth I know that, but using racial slurs is just one thing I'm not going to tolerate, never have. I was quite surprised to see that even come up on here considering Dave is a Jew, but nobody has ever crossed the line like that, everyone else has class and knows better.

And sure we have all uttered sterotypical racial stuff at least once in our lives, but it just has no place here. Yup yup.

Yeah the "n" word is actually censored here, it's really a word I don't see any use for in any realm on this board, that's why the **** showed up, just so you know. [img]smile.gif[/img] No other word is censored on this board.
