Bill, I do have sympathy for Zak Starkey but this is still Roger and Pete's baby. He was the new kid on the block, or in this case the chopping block. It was ruthless what they did but Zak will bounce back.

They literally got rid of a guy after Keith died for underplaying

I don't get why he was fired.

That is a very poor way to treat Ringo's kid! He was with the band almost 30 years now!

I saw Roger Daltrey live last summer and he was pretty miserable onstage. He complained his chair was too short for his mic a few times. He actually stopped the show mid song and kicked the chair! Then he kept saying " I don't need to be here you know?" "I don't need to do this anymore"......

I guess even rich famous rock stars get miserable when they get old.

Pete's Instagram account is now saying that "Zak is not being asked to step down from The Who".

Looks like cooler heads prevailed.

YR, according to recent reports Roger has been have medical issues so that might exlain his behavior. It does indeed suck to get old.

Here is Roger and Pete taking about the final tour. When Roger started complaining that he can't sing two nights in the row now, Pete said okay press conference is over!

The most interesting thing they said is what is the one song you want to be remembered by. Pete said Love Reign O'er Me.

Roger said Love Reign O'er Me or Behind Blue Eyes.

Roger hasn't been able to sing two nights in a row since at least 2015.

I saw them on that tour. Decided that will be the last time seeing The Who. Roger's voice isn't what it used to be (it happens to all singers). Happy to have the memories of seeing them a few times before that, when Roger still sounded like his young self.

Love Reign O'er Me or Behind Blue Eyes are two all time great songs. The former makes me think of Pete, the latter Roger.

I hope they enjoy their retirement from the road.
