I found this while looking on ebay today:

What 1984 Hawaii tour??? They never came here with Dave! (And I'm sure hoping they will) I'd rag on the sucker who bids on this piece of garbage....plus it looks like crap anyhow...

Sort of off topic, but doesn't it seem odd that Van Halen never played in Hawaii while Dave was in the band? I mean, it's known as a vacation mecca, and Van Halen was known (with Dave in the band) as a party band. They could easily have scheduled dates there at the end of a tour, or at least at the end of a leg of the tour so the band could have a quick vacation.

Interesting point Glenn-
Just because we're in the middle of the ocean does NOT mean we're not entitled to have bands come and play here. (We ARE part of the USA!!!) But seriously, nearly every big hard rock/metal band made their way here in the early 80s...Priest, Maiden, Def Leppard, Ozzy, etc. The few who didn't included two of my faves, VH and AC/DC. SRV even opened for The Police here. The only downside for being in the islands was the lack of full stage shows, since it would cost a lot to bring a large setup here, but it's the music that counts right??? Still got to see Ozzy walk back and forth across the stage. And yes, he loved all of us here too. The boys did make it out here with Sammy and Gary, so I know Dave will be coming this time eh?

And seen-it's "Honolulu", make sure you say the o's with an "O" sound, not "Ah", as in Ha-na-lu-lu" Otherwise some crazy Hawaiian activist will put the Greg Brady curse on you...LOL! BTW, if any of you remember that episode, they're ain't no damn Tarantulas here!!!

I have actually been there twice so I have no excuse but to say that when I was there, most of the visitors pronounced it Honarooroo if ya know what I mean [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]
