The roller coaster continues....

Check this out. This is from our good friend Pavinc over at the DLR Army board.

I was driving home from work today and at about 4:30 edt WMMS in Cleveland was doing a broadcast from Boston...must be some big festival going on over there...
anyway the dj "slats" I think, was talking and he said...."hey heres Gary Cherone.."
Gary sits down and they start talking about his new CD and band then he asked him about VH....what it was like and why he left....Gary was pretty cool about it...he said working with VH was great and the reason he left was becouse "it just felt like they ran their course so they decided to go seperate ways"...no hard feelings between them...he said that he is still friends with VH and he "just talked to Ed not too long ago"...
He says Ed is feeling great ,his hip feels great and he has "NO other serious health problems"...says Ed told him that this is the best that he has felt in a long time...

Then this dickhead dj starts rippin on Dave..sayin that he's washed up and he heard he's "doin shows in vegas"..
I could tell that this pissed Gary off a little...he told the dj that he wasn't going to get into a "war of words with anyone.."
The dj quickly laughed and tried to play it off..but you could tell that he pissed Gary off...he talked a little about in 91 when extreme went on the road with Dave...GC had alot of pretty cool things to say about Dave.."David Lee Roth is a master showman who always gives you everything he's got"..
The dj asked him about VH today..Gary wouldn't say who the lead singer is..all he said was"I cant wait until the new VH album comes out...I'm sure Ed will let me be one of the first ones that hears it..."
Thats about it...I thought it was pretty cool of Gary to put that dickhead dj in his place when he tried to slam on "The Mighty One..DLR..."

Well, the speculation continues.....

I'm not saying that Gary has anything negative in his heart when it comes to Van Halen, but it's refreshing to see how much he honors the Van Halen legend and refuses to allow anyone to trample on it.

Is it me, or does it feel like we're the people who most want to know the VH situation, and yet everybody knows but us?

oh, come on now!!!!

gary is still a class act. he has my total respect. i'm glad he told the dj to shove it (even though he didn't actually say that) because he's obviously an idiot for slamming dave.

Us "VH" fans should remember Gary when his next cd comes out......Support the guy ya know, I know I will. I hope his new group does a club tour of some sort.

Gary obviously has alot of self control.

It would be understandable if after endless pestering from the media if Gary finally broke down and dished the dirt about VH.

I wish he would because i love juicey inside dirt but I respect him for defending the VH legacy.
And it's ironic that the person who reaped the least amount of benefits and got the least amount of support and was only in the band 3 years,would also be a major defender of the band.

I would've totally understood if Gary gave us the finger after all the shit alot of fans put him through.
