Funny story about Dave and Eddie at Metal Sludge

Found this in the mailbag section for 10/13:

I talked to a couple guys in a band called the Union Underground tonight. They say they were in a record store recently... when they looked up and saw David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen standing side-by-side. The Union
Underground guys said," so, does this mean that the reunion is on?" And Eddie apparently laughed and said, "well, if it wasn't on, then would we be standing here beside you?"

I know there are a ton of rumors going around about Van Halen, but I figure this story is true. Why else would they make shit up about it and tell it complete strangers, ya know? Beats me... thought I'd pass it on though.

(metal sludges reply to the email)That's a new one! I can't really picture Dave and Eddie at a record store looking for CDs. Maybe they were trying to out due each by seeing who's last CD was cheaper in the bargain bin.

Well spotted Glenn The second I read this I knew it was bullshit because I've already read the Peavey "rumour". I'm not blaming Spanish Fly for this because he's probably just repeating what he's heard but I can't understand what people get out of making this shit up. This one is just blatent bullshit! Makes you even more sceptical about everything else we've heard!
