Thanks for the link. I finally got to watch the dang thing, and here's my take:

The EVH NAMM video has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with Van Halen (the group). The only words uttered that might be construed otherwise is his line about taking some new gear "on tour".

Eddie was not drunk (I don't hear any slurred speach, although his voice is a tad scratchy), and that is definitely not David Lee Roth in the background, that person has a strong East coast/NY accent (not Indiana or California). There's a kid in the background, probably Wolfgang (who else?).
