We have no idea what goes on in Eddie's life outside of a press release every year and a few appearances. Ed may be at his happiest right now and enjoying his life and no longer has interest in VH. I don't care about Eddie's life but I would like to hear some of his music, even if its a piano and cello record.

steve lukather still names him as his "best" friend, and some news about eddie you can also read often on his homepage: www.stevelukather.net he had also done an interview with him, but that´s some time ago, last news was about his christmas record, and some equipment news... (steve got some guitar-boxes from eddie or something...)

All things aside, I'd bet that Val and Wolfgang are his best friends although being an alcoholic he probably alienates them with his love for the bottle. Not intentional, just the way it is.
