One very rarely mentioned thing is the fact that the VH bro's mom is from Indonesia, and that they are, logically, half-Asians. On some pictures, Alex totally looks Asian.
I've almost never heard them speak about it, except once, indirectly. In that particular interview, Al mentioned that "VH was very popular in Indonesia", that people there were trading thousands of pirated tapes of Van Halen. But he didn't mention the link that his family had to this country.
It has never appeared in the press, and I even remember DLR talkin about VH being a "very white band" after he left.
The truth is, VH was quite a multi-ethnic band compared to most other rock legends (Aerosmith, ACDC, Led Zep).
I wonder what is the reason for the silence on this subject, it almost seems like it's a well-guarded secret.
Maybe some of you guys can shed some light on the matter.Little Dreamer

I never understood the obsession with "album sales"... The only person I care about buying a particular album is ME lol. The music does not sound any better or worse to my ears if it sells 10...
