guns 'n roses/ vh stadium tour 2001?

not trying to start shit.....but recently heard that vh & guns 'n roses will embark on a 3 month stadium tour in summer of 2001. figure this might be B.S., but wanted to check out anyway.......so please don't slam me too bad. AXL, EDDIE, & DAVE....talk about egos!!!

But VH won't be touring with them.

I can NOT see Guns & Roses doing a stadium tour because...who would come out to see Axl?? He's the only one left and his track record is terrible. I think this would be an insanely bad idea!!!!!!!!

The only people who would go to see GNR at this point probably would only do it to hear material from their first three albums (er, 2 1/2) and not give a crap about their new stuff.

The only was GNR would conceivably play stadiums is if they got Slash and other original members back.

I'm not convinced a VH reunion would automatically be playing stadiums either. *IF* the album is out in March it suggests (to me) that they would play arenas in Spring and use that to test the water (and build momentum) for summer plans.

Three things wrong with this idea:

1) Despite Axl Rose's insistence to the contrary, there is no such thing as Guns N Roses and hasn't been since 1993. You can't tour without a band.

2) Axl's huge ego wouldn't let him be an opening act, especially if he had the real band back together, which is highly unlikely.

3) Van HALEN ain't opening for anybody
