Mike at the Sammy show?

I too was a bit curious about this subject. I've always felt that Mike is his own Man. I think many people wrongly assume that he panders to whatever Edward demands. He may perhaps musically, but I really don't think he does on a personal level. Besides, its no secret that he and Sammy were tight for a long time. I suspect they probably had a few drinks, maybe had a smoke and just shot the shit. I also think that Edward and Alex still personally care about Sammy. Lets remember, these guys were all very happy for many years. I think they still Love one another. Also, it has been four years since Sammy left. I really don't think it is a problem for anyone in the band.

No pix. But here's an email quote from my friend in LA who was there.

"I didn't see him in the audience - when we left (a fair bit after the show), he and his wife came out of the backstage area and just walked to their car (I guess - I certainly didn't follow them). I was around b/c I used to work at SH's current record company and I just recognized him, is all."

Well Mikey and Sam CAN still be friends. Hell I'd bet if Sammy showed up at 5150 they'd (Eddie Al Mike and Sammy) probably shoot the shit. Sammy is better off as a solo man, and I think he enjoys it a little more this way. WHEN they all get back together at the RnR hall of fame show, they will have a blast. It's time to move on, and both parties have chosen the best route. Dave and Van Halen will hopefully....strike that. Dave and Van Halen will rule once again. Sammy is very happy doing his own thing. More power to the both of them. It's a win win situation for both parties. I'm a fan of both, so "blaze" on Sammy and Van Halen. Out.
