original Van Halen is slowly deteriorating

The Rumors are Flying..Read on...
Sammy Hagar (ex-Van Halen) and Neil Schon (Journey) are working on a new project together! The drummer is reported to be Deen Castornova (Journey). The bassist, are ya ready, Michael Anthony (Van Halen)!!! It gets a little better, there are reports that a second guitarist has already been added, none other than Slash (ex GunsnRoses)!!!
Now before you say this is all internet fantasy, some of it actually makes sense.
Sammy and Neil made an album together in the 80's called HSAS. When Sammy joined VH, it was announced that they were going to go for a somewhat Journey-esque sound (which they did). Both have jammed together a few times since then and both have expressed interest in doing something together again.
It is no secret that Michael has wanted to do a solo project for sometime. As for VH, the most we can expect from them in the next year is a Greatest Hits 2.
Sammy and Neil were recently invited onstage by Bad Company vocalist Paul Rogers. This is supposed to happen two more times with Michael being a possible third guest!
All of these guys are at a crossroads in their careers. Van Halen and Journey are currently without a label. Sammy's renewed solo career is going pretty good but not as well as expected. Slash just broke up his group, Slash's snakepit. Even though he is recording an album with a couple of other former GnR members (minus Axl), nothing more is expected to come of it. So, the timing is as good as its going to get!
Although the rumors are starting to fly, there may be some merit to this. And just imagine if this DOES happen

Yeah, this rumour continues to surface. Could be some truth to it, as Mike and Sammy still communicate on an adult level.

Good for Mike, I am sure he is tired of waiting for the VH bros.

I couldn't agree more. Especially the way he's treated in VH. He's a decent bassist, but a great background singer. WAY undervalued by Eddie (go figure
