Okay, this time I am going to qualify my report.

I live in Arcadia.

Michael Anthony grew up in Arcadia, went to Arcadia High School, and still has family in Arcadia, including a brother at a place I had my hair cut at recently.

Michael Anthony regularly frequents a restaurant in Arcadia called Peppers (see pictures at the Offical VH site) which is also frequented by plenty of regulars who have followed VH from the backyard party days.

Ed and Alex Van Halen's father worked at Arcadia Methodist Hospital.

There are many people in this area that maintain what I would call a second degree of separation contact with the band.

Having qualified that, now, based on people I have talked to (see second degree of separation) including most recently (today) the sister-in-law of Gregg Emerson (Van Halen drum roadie) and a couple of regulars at Peppers that have done work on Michael's cars, I am here to say that all the talk is that David Lee Roth IS NOT currently with the band, there was an attempt to reform the band, it didn't work because of personalities, and the band is currently without a singer and not very much is happening album or tour wise behind the gates of 5150.

As I have posted here before, this is not the news I want to hear, but it is the state of things as they are.

I think not, more like No News is NO NEWS.

Which in my book equates to No News is BAD NEWS.

People want to believe otherwise, but folks, this is coming from people that are much closer to the band, and much more credible, than what some radio station out in Tuna Fish, Wyoming may be reporting.

I know it is not the news that everyone wants to hear, but I have heard the same thing from different groups of people that I have no doubts as to validity.

If I hear anything to the contrary, I will gladly post that information here, but right now, that is all there is to report.

I'm still buying that the band recorded on their own and are going to work with producer(s) on the post production work.

Dave may not be with VH right now because his recording may be done and he is just out doing his own thing until rehearsals begin.

Thanks fer givin the scoop that your hearin bro. I'm not really buyin those perceptions though. Dave would have freeked out by now for sure. It would be everywhere that it was eddies fault.

The reunion was never a sure thing. There is plenty of evidence for both sides, though.

I've come to terms with the appearent fact that the Classic Van Halen is just a memory.
If something was going to happen it would've happened by now.IMO
Cherone'c contract has been expired and if there was any sort of legal action on VH/Danniels it would've been public record long ago,in the U.S. or Canada.
It's time for the band to come clean with us (the very loyal fans)and tell it like it is.
Then go and make Sammy an offer he can't refuse or just retire the band and do solo projects.

According to one of the people I talked to, and this is at best a fourth degree of separation source, so I hadn't bothered posting this, Sammy was brought in briefly for another try after Gary left the band, but it didn't work out with him either. I don't have any idea as to validity of this, but something that was mentioned to me.

Well... as far as rumors go, guess it's just as likely as anything else until we get the facts from the horse's mouth.

Just file this one away on the, "Keepin' it real," pile to remind us nothing is final until it's final.
