I'm trying to plan a vacation for later this year or early next year and I was interested in seeing if anyone has been down to Cabo? My wife wants to go to somehwere in Mexico to an all-inclusive resort and I couldn't think of a better place than Cabo(wink wink). She's not a big VH fan, so I think I could get her to go down there just for the resort and the sites of course I could get thrill of going to the cabo Wabo. Just curious if anyone could give me some feedback. Thanks Dave

Yes, I have been to Cabo San Lucas a few years ago and it was amazing!!! The weather, the babes, the clubs...oh yes the Cabo Wabo Cantina was nice and my license plate actually is up on the wall for all to see. It reads VAN HLN ( ONTARIO ) and still haven't figured out how it ended up there since I live in Canada...and the plate was stolen off my car years ago...ANYWAY, Cabo is a very relaxing place to visit, it never rains and take plenty of sun screen cause the rays are strong and the sand is HOT!!! Need more details? ask away....but I must say, the Cabo Cantina is a great party spot and don't forget to have a WABORITA !!! but don't drink the water!!!!!!!!!!!

I went down about 7 years ago, after I got out of the Navy. Back then it was supposed to be the next huge vacation spot in Mexico. I don't think it's caught on like some people thought it would--thank God!
It's kind of like a very developed 3rd World spot. You can easily get by without speaking the language, but every bit helps.
There's no happy hour down there--it's more like happy days--all 24 hours! I never seen alcohol so heavily promoted!
I stayed in what's considered the best of the cheap motels (I forget the name), but who needs a fancy room and a pool when all you want to do is drink, go to Cabo Wabo, and go on the beach or in the water. Spend the $$ on things to do, not where you sleep.
You can get enough free chow with 1-hour timeshare presentations anyway.
I never had a problem drinking the water.
One bit of advice--don't go sport-fishing on a panga (small boat) the morning after heavily imbibing @ Cabo Wabo--though I felt great after giving my own chum to the fishes!

Hey dude,
Things have changed considerably over the past couple of years. 7 years ago? Cabo has certainly developed since then....and not by any means a 3rd world country type atmosphere
and I'm sure Mr Hagar would certainly disagree with that statement you made and the others who have visited the area recently for that matter !

Been there a bunch. Had a time share for a while till they screwed me for $12,000.00. If you go, don't go to any "free" time share shit! And yes, Cabo HAS caught on. It is way busier now than my first time down there in 1992. The golf courses have added lots of visitors. (At least $90-125 for 18 holes!) Last I heard, they were going to put a limit on the number of hotel rooms being built in town. Not sure what came about of that. Anyway, if you get the chance, GO! You'll love it, however, it costs lots of $$$$$! If you are lucky enough to go when Sammy is in town, watch out for looong lines in the heat.... but man, are they worth it! MO.

P.S., if you can afford the hotel Sol Mar, do it! Very cool place on the Pacific side. Very quiet with awsome views! You can't swim on that side though, (too rough.) If the tide is low enough, you can walk to Lover's/Divorce Beach from the hotel. Plus, if you ever had dreams of sex on the beach, (and I don't mean the drink), it can be done!! Trust me! MO.

I prefer Aruba,
you can drink the water there.
oh I mean you can have ice in your adult beverage without worries.
I love VH, but I love Aruba just as much or more and since its Sam's club now, more reason to stay with Aruba.
