The long anticipated return of the mighty Van Halen will end the halftime festivities of the Superbowl. The Quartet will have lookalikes parachute to the front of the stage, then the the real VH (w/DLR) will emerge to rock the crowd and the rest of a world wide audience with their first single of there upcoming CD. They will definatly rock our asses off!!! OK, OK, OK, Before you all jump ALL over my ass here, I admit this was all thought up in my head. But wouldn't this just be the shit! Hey if VH/Warner Brothers wanted to get some publicity this would be the way to do it. And just think, just a few weeks ago we were all able to see a picture of Val and Wolfgang watching NSYNC (or whoever they) are on the net. As you remember Ed was watching from the side of the stage. Maybe he wanted to meet the boys who's asses that he and his fellow bandmates would be blowing away at the Superbowl. Not any of those acts can hold a candle to the original VH! Not even Areosmith! Even with Sammy (to include that Gary guy) they couldn't compete with VH! I know I am dreaming but wouldn't this be great! Fucking Van Halen at the Superbowl! Hell Yeah!!! They would play their new single (to be released a week later), then rip into a Dave era classic (Which one? There are so many!!!) They would leave the audience and world in complete disbelief at how any act could be so overpowering awsome! I know this thread will probably get moved from here. What do you guys think? Wouldn't this be so fucking awsome? I've been a fan since about 1980 when I started to get into what my older brothers were listening to. My first VH concert was in 1986 w/Sammy. So I would be just going fucking crazy seeing them with Dave. I hope this is it. For some reason I have a gut feeling this is it. Come on VH don't let us down. Later everyone! Tell me what you think! Peace!

Man, there's nothing worse than musical performances at sporting events. Especially at football games. The band is on a tiny stage about 3 billion miles from the crowd, totally out of their element and trying to look convincing in a bad situation.
Van Halen deserves better than this.
I'm dying to see them too, but not in this situation.

Damn, could you title your thread something else? Like "how bout this idea" or something. It's a little misleading.

Hey that's cool with me Glenn. I respect your opinion. But wouldn't that be cool to have a world wide audience? The main thing would be the USA audience. I don't care if they even lip sinc the damm thing as long as they get the exposer(spelling?). Hell a lot of the big names do it, and everyone would be talking about it forever. Peace!

I think this topic would be better suited in the Opinion/Speculation forum. Moving there now.
