So Dave is gonna play a couple of gigs this summer. Good for him! Other posts have said that he shouldn't play all VH material and that his solo stuff (for the most part) sucks. Sorry folks - I don't agree.
EAS, Skyscraper, ALAE, YFLM and of course DLR Band all had kick ass memorable tunes. A pile of them were big hits. Sure he didn't have a Right Now - BUT he did have a lot of great tunes that are still played on the radio; and a few others that should be played... so without further adieu - here are my favortie DLR classics.
Yankee Rose
Goin Crazy
Just like Paradise (an 80's anthem!)
Good times - seriously under-fuckin-rated tune.
A lil ain't enough
Sensible shoes (another highly under-rated tune)
She's my machine
Black Sands
Goin Places (this one is fucking incredible)
Slam Dunk
And of course - he should play California Girls - not because Dave did it solo - but because he did a great fucking job at the song. There is my essential DLR solo stuff that is a must hear on tour.
So...what did I miss??? Winners come and go; legends are forever.

Well, that train to "Songs/Albums/Videos" that I feel is just around the corner!
Actually, the songs you mentioned would suffice, as would any of the other songs off The Best that you didn't mention. If you like what you see here, please click here to donate!

Another HIGHLY underated tune, and one of my all-time favs is "Knucklebones". What a monstrous groove that tune has!
Other awesome DLR tunes:
Hot Dog and a Shake (Pure fun at a 100mph)
Stand Up (kinda pop, but infectious)
Damn Good (Damn Good - 'nuff said)
Baby's on Fire (Fuckin' Smokes)
WA WA ZAT! (A perfect example of how great Dave can sing when he sticks to his range)
Black Sand (Very easy to lose yourself in this song)
...and, uh, what the fuck was the topic of this thread again?

I can't stand rap....people who can't sing do rap....you can sing rebellion as well as talk it....Hitler would have been in a rap band...

don't forget "coconut grove"
slow and nice

but, you're right, DLR has made some great solo-tunes as well.
not that many solo-artist have made it that big after leaving a major rock-act (ex.: Sting /Police)
rock on, diamond dave
cheers,
SToRMdave, we'd like to go upstairs, the two of us, with you ...

If the man had a 15 song set you could easily make a show I'd attend by playing the following (all solo):
Califonia Girls
Just a Gigalo/Ain't Got Nodbody
Yankee Rose
Goin' Crazy
Knucklebones
Just Like Paradise
Damn Good
Hina
Perfect Timing
A Lil' Ain't Enough
Lady Luck
Tell the Truth
She's My Machine
WaWaZat
Black Sand"Just once I'd like to do the right thing and not get punished for it."
