I found that one on Napster and I'm downloading it at the moment. I heard the first 40 seconds of that song, and I'm sure that it's Gary singing and I'm almost sure that it's Eddie playing. BTW, the first 40 seconds don't sound that bad, there's a rockin' riff...
How comes that this song shows up that late, I mean TWILY leaked very fast...

Wait a minute, the chorus sounds very Extremish to me, maybe it's faked...
The backing vocals don't sound like VH at all...

Holy shit is it really Van Halen? Or is it Extreme?
There was another song that was gonna be on the followup to 3. It was gonna be called "Say Uncle" and according to a Gary interview a while back, it was about a dominating female...
Anyone remember hearing this one? And back to the topic at hand, is this Blood From A Stone in fact VH???

No, it isn't VH, I'm afraid. It's an Extreme song, but I don't know which one yet. The chorus is something like "I don't know why...".

I thought it was "Blood From A Rock." Someone said it doesn't sound like VHs background singing. None of VH3 did actually.

Evidentally. But remember we just got Gazzari's 1974 recently, so maybe that same person/company has other unreleased VH3 songs.

The reason "TWILY" is out there on Napster is because it is not technically a bootleg. It was part of the VD III album until February 1998 when it was pulled at the last minute for that wussy song about Gary's mom. If VD had actually released any singles for the album, no doubt it would have been a "b" side. Anyway, I'm sure a few test copies of VD III (with the song included) circulated around the WB Records offices, and no doubt the song leaked from there. The aborted second Van Danniels album is locked up tight in the vault with the other things that have never surfaced in bootleg world, such as the infamous Van Hagar song "Between Us Two" and the early 5150 demos with Dave singing. No doubt this will all eventually show up in the box set, hopefully with more listenable versions of the unreleased stuff most of us already have.

That wussy song you are referring to was about alex and ed's mom. The title just had garys mothers name on it.

on one hand its cool they can do this. on the other hand, it's kind of weird. I don't really want to hear AI Van Halen stuff out there. it's just strange to me.
