Today being the eve of the 25th Anniversary of the release of Van Halen, I'd like to extend a huge CONGRATS!!!! to the band!!

To think it all started with Runnin With The Devil. I still remember the guitar just rip assing through my speakers, while Dave- the toastmaster generals lyrics resonated in a whole new way with me. The music and lyrics were pure attitude pumping through my veins and consciousness. The other day I was listening to Fair Warning at break neck speeds, whoooo baby!!! Nothing but good times throughout the whole VH-DLR era catalogue.

A quarter of a century later and we're still talking about it. Pure, timeless rock and roll!!!

Congrats to the band, but it's obviously very sad to see this quarter-century anniversary come (and go) without a single peep out of VH.

What's more sad is that how the official site recognizes this anniversary:

"On This Day:
In 1984, Van Halen plays Freedom Hall in Louisville, KY ."

It figures....

As soon as I got up this morning I blasted Van Halen through my sterio. I can't say enough about how much I love that album. That record truly is a timeless one and something that left a HUGE mark on Rock and Roll. Congrats Van Halen on 25 stellar years.

I went down to the storage room and pulled out my original vinyl copy from 1978 and spun it up. Even with a few pops from a few scratches it still sounded great!!

Seemed fitting to play a 25 year old record on the 25th anniversary!!! [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
