Setlist from LA last night. 10/14/21

    Let's Spend the Night Together
    19th Nervous Breakdown
    Rocks Off
    Get Off of My Cloud
    Tumbling Dice
Ruby Tuesday (by request; first time since 2016)
You Can't Always Get What You Want
    Living in a Ghost Town
    Start Me Up
Honky Tonk Women (followed by band introductions)
Connection (Keith Richards on lead vocals)
Slipping Away (Keith Richards on lead vocals)
    Miss You
Midnight Rambler (with "Come In My Kitchen" snippet)
    Paint It Black
    Sympathy for the Devil
    Jumpin' Jack Flash

    Encore:
    Gimme Shelter
    (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction

    +++++

That is a pretty decent greatest hits type Stadium set. Most fans would be pretty happy after that show.

Great setlist. Where's Squalen with his recap?

    Pass.

Will devote 2 paragraphs as to why Brown Sugar wasn't missed and every single person in attendance felt the same way (alt-right white boys exempted )because there was a poll taken afterwards.

Or he took a gazillion pics of the band that will take a whole day of uploading.

Either way he will regale us.

It was great. Highlights included Rocks Off, Ghost Town, Shelter, Honky Tonk, 19th NB, Paint it Black. But that venue is ridiculous. Itís like a fucking city in there. Most of the good seats are on multiple subterranean levels. Itís a massive techno-pit 100 feet below street level. The retractable roof was closed, no idea why, and the sound was occasionally washed out with reverb bouncing off it. The Rose Bowl is wider but SoFi is deeper. Canít say I cared for it. After Sundayís second show I donít think Iíll be going back. We actually left the pit and found seats higher up. Acoustics down at the bottom were muddy. But oh boy Los Angeles didnít care much.

I was hearing parking in the SoFi lot was a whopping $60 and Inglewood has barred off-site street parking. Dealing with going to The Forum was bad enough so I can't imagine how insane getting in and out of SoFi must be now.

Dude, it was dumb ridiculous. Not $60. $80. People were super pissed. My girl has a friend whose parents live 3 blocks from the stadium so they let us park in their driveway and we walked in. But $80 for regular non vip parking is a new record. Geez. That place is setting up its own little nation there. I canít imagine Rams and Charger fans ponying that up every time. The Super Bowl will be a shit show of proportions.

Pretty sure the roof doesn't open. I could be wrong but I've never seen it open.

Funny that- I never actually knew the opening lines of Brown Sugar. All these years. Never thought to look the lyrics up.

Always thought it was just another dynamite badass raucous party tune about sex. Maybe during Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

    Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Whoo!

Boy do I feel stupid now. Ugh. Just a small town white boy oblivious to the deep social commentary relating to slavery. * Smacks self in head*

Of course- The Rolling Stones reschedule the entire tour....all except 2 cities cancelled & not rescheduled.

No Stones for me. Ugh. Would've been nice to see The Stones show live after all these past couple years stuff going on. Damn city here still in phase 3. Uptight restrictions still in effect.

Look at Mick Jagger. Holy Cow. 78 years old! I had to Google to double check his age. The man is a testament to living healthy. Or did he make a deal with the devil. Never thought Charlie would be the first Rolling Stone to pass. Thought maybe Ronnie Wood.

I watched some of the YouTube footage & they are amazing. No question the greatest rock & roll band in the world.

BUT- You'd think they would go ahead & play Brown Sugar protesters be damned. Cowing to the protesters is not very rebellious. It's not like One InvA Million or something. They should really play it.

Or theyíve evolved, try it you might like it.

Night 2 tonight was even better than night 1. We didnít have as good of seats as Thursday, but they were on fire tonight. Much more powerful than night 1, especially Keef. All Down the Line! Beast of Burden! The one two punch jam of SMU and HTW was groove tastic. Sympathy was a watermark of perfection.

Cool that they made a few additions/switches on night #2 in LA.

Street Fighting Man as the opener.

All down the Line (first time since 2016)

    Beast of Burden

    Wild Horses (by request)

Before they Make Me run (Keith)
