for those at work, and sound-deprived Dave basically introduces himself, says theres a lot of rumors flying around about him, some of which are true, and says the only person whos gonna act as spokesman for dave.. is dave, and you'll hear it all here at davidleeroth.com

a) He answers and confirms nothing. Just more speculation to follow as to what rumors are true.

b)Is this new (yeh, I know SH is gonna TELL us it is!), or something slawterhouse has had laying round for a while? I dunno, but theres no time frame reference. it could be 3 years old, could have been done yesterday.

Hmmm..I interpret his comments to mean: If you hear something through Van Halen web channels about me, don't necessarily believe it.

I'm probably reading too much into his brief comment, but it seems like he's sending out a "pre-emptive strike" before the shit hits the fan. Almost like his "Eddie Did It" letter 5 years ago.

I hope this is not the case...

Thanks to NAMM, we know Mike ain't forgotten the fans. And now we know Dave ain't forgotten us, either. And maybe by the time we have confirmation that Ed 'n Al are also thinkin' of us, we'll finally hear something.

All in all, Dave's little Slawterhouse blurp was more than I was expecting...

There's no date given as to when Dave recorded this.

Knowing TK's antics, he's probably had the "statement" for a while and is only using it now to garner attention for his site.

TK is the Bill Clinton of webmasters. You've got to parse every word when it comes to him.

Perhaps being in Canada you were unfamiliar with Bob Dole?

Seems to me if that website had a recording of Dave saying that, they wouldn't hold on to it; I would think it would be presented right away. Maybe I'm just getting paranoid, though, but I don't have a good feeling about any of this.
