More sammy comments, & "Not 4 Sale" release info. (from melodicrock)

Sammy Hagar's Not For Sale is currently listed for an October 9 release, through the Tower Records label 33rd Street Records.
Speaking of Sammy, he's talking up a re-union with Van Halen again, this time on VH1, quoted as saying: "I don't think I could say I am never going to play with those guys again and it will never happen...So I think it's inevitable...I think we'll do it."

And I wonder, IF its Sammy, IF when they go into the studio after healing their past, they will update us like the goddamn old days and we'll know what songs they're working on, etc...building up until the cd release and tour net year.

I was on cdnow yesturday and it lists 2 new Sammy disks coming out soon. Classic Masters: Remastered and another disk titled Sammy Hagar and the Waboritas. I wonder if Not 4 Sale is a live cd or something. Maybe if it is a live disk he's releasing that and a greatest hits kind of package to fulfill his obligations with his record label. That way he's freed up to rejoin VH. I hope we hear something soon.

But wait, Van Halen doesn't HAVE a record deal.

But if they rehire Sammy or Dave, then I'm sure offers will be pouring in.

Its been almost 3 full years since Gary left, its either now or never for Van Halen to make some sort of move. If they continue to sit with their thumbs up their asses, then the fans just won't care about whatever they eventually do. There is a timeline in the music business.
With other groups we knew if it were going to take years for something new. Just inform your fans with truths Eddie, don't lead us around with comments like "very soon" and "in God's time". Just fucking say it allready.

Hey All,
Not For Sale was recorded earlier this year - finished a few months ago before the Sam & Dave tour started.

By contact has heard it and says much of the same as far as it compares to the last few Post-VH solo records.

Hope to get a preview of it before the release date.

Well since sam is putting out a solo album here pretty quick I guess it's pretty obvious that he ain't coming back, so get Dave in there and let's go already. I can see sam bitching and moaning about ed as soon as it's announced.

Jeez. Those are some dumb song names. I certainly hope, for Sammy's fans' sake, that these goofy titles aren't indicative of the songs themselves.

Especially ironic is the title, "Not 4 Sale". I hate to seem like I'm bashing Sam here but the guy is so incredibly disingenuous. He's always talkin' about how he's not in it for the money, blah blah blah. Then he turns around and spouts some imaginary Van Hagar sales figures. Plus his shows are a goddamn liquor commercial.

C'mon, Sam - stop trying to act like your prime motive isn't money. You're the Gordon Gecko of old rockers.
