I feel like AC/DC kind of keeps creating the same album, the last three or four albums.

They just played a block off "Back in Black," and there's just such a ferocious quality
    to it:

Great songs, incredible guitar tones, and LOUDER.

The last few records just sound so polite, in a way.
The tones are cleaner and more subdued, and it's just a lot of the same
    writing style, basic, less clever.

Yeah, it ran out a long time ago. Amazing they were able to get 15, 20 years out of it. Speaks to how great they were.

As far as all these recent new albums by them...they sound so NEUTERED. I dont know, just don't like any of it. Very generic riffs.
Did you find Back in Black to be overproduced?

Brian Johnson joined the Foo Fighters to sing Back In Black last weekend at the Vax Live concert at Staples Arena in LA. Johnson sounds a little weak on the vox but it may be because he’s way down in the mix. Also, check out the drummer’s shorts....

Taylor Hawkins often wears those stripey shorts.
“And what we have at our fingertips is arguably one of the greatest high tenor voices ever – that was in Michael Anthony. In our tiny little corner of the universe, that voice is as identifiable as the high voice in Earth, Wind & Fire, as identifiable as the high voice in the Beach Boys. Van Halen is an indelicate house blend of both – that’s intentionally. So I would always look forward to that reunion.” - David Lee Roth

I remember reading an interview with Angus back in the late 80's or early 90's in one of those guitar magazines. I think it was Guitar for the Practicing Musician.

The interviewer said "You've been accused of making the same album ten times. How do you respond to that?"

Angus replied:"That's a dirty lie! We've made the same album ELEVEN times!"

I would argue they haven't made a good album since Back In Black

I think The Razor's Edge is a good disc.

I would say their last great album was Back In Black.

Bullshit, all their songs aren't in D Major.

There are some in C Major, E Major....

Don't think these guy are ever going to write something in Bb Aeolian.
