Well Van Hagar released 5150 in 1986 and Aerosmith's Permanent Vacation came out in 1987. So they were in competition for the following years. And the vids both bands made were often battling each other on MTV. The dude that looked like a lady always wanted the best of both worlds!

R.E.M. is an underrated band, and I think Peter Buck was an underrated guitar player. I used to love reading his interviews in the guitar mags back in the day.

Still......one of the best uses of a song in a movie opening credits..... It takes you right back to 1976. Even though it is overplayed, still a fantastic song.
