Zappa on "The List"

As much as I hate tuning in to "The List", knowing that Dweezil Zappa would be on was enough to make me watch.
The topic - "most important Rock Moment"
Dweezil's #1 - The recording of VH1 - most notably the recording of Eruption.
Not sure where it ended up after the voting, but to me it didn't matter.
VH rarely gets respect in such forums and it was nice to see someone paying homage to Eddie and the boys.
Kudos to Dweezil for stepping up and giving VH some props.

Beat me to this one. Yeah that was cool how Dweezil picked the 1st Van Halen album as his top pick for Gratest Moment in Rock History. It was not in the top three. That show makes me laugh. The top 3 were:

1. Beatles on Ed Sullivan
2. Elvis on Ed Sullivan
3. Launch of MTV

Dweezil loves Edward. (He uses Wolfgangs BTW) just about every time I have seen him on T.V. he has talked about Eddie.

Anyone know when Dweezil's cds are gonna be re-released on cd? I have the tapes but they are beat. Also, I heard YEARS ago that he was working on a project...a ONE song project. that would be 75 minutes in length and featuring 30 of the all time greatest heavy metal and rock guitarists. That would be soo awesome..I hope he follows through.

Its really cool that Dweezil voted for Van Halen. I missed this show so hopefully there will be a rerun sometime soon.

I'm not surprised at the winning choices. Pretty damn generic

Dweezil's one song epic "What the Hell was I
Thinking," which features the greatest guitarist alive today, will probably not be released. Very sad news as it has a two minute "best of EVH" solo on it. The list of guitar players on it is insane. Basically
the tape was dubbed over so many times that it is damaged to the point of no repair.
As for a re-release of his solo work on cd's, forget about it. Dweezil feels scorned by the music industry and doesn't really seem interested anymore. However, all of his cd's can be found on eBay. I'd highly recommend Confessions as well as his band Z's Shampoohorn.
