    Detective Comics #1062

    Det1062.PNG

A new creative team, story arc and narrative tone are off to and excellent start with this issue.

For the first time in a long time I can say that both main Batman books are finally doing something right.

But with so many bat titles now... will anyone notice?

I tried to start reading this during a break at work this morning.

I had a little trouble concentrating, which is awesome... because Perez fills every page with so much dialog as well as images.

I think I'll wait till I'm at home in my quiete chair to start again. Lol!
the covers were awesome. the concept is very cool. the story itself is hard to follow IMHO. this was a big deal over the summer that it came out during, I just had a hard time with it.
I liked how the used Captain Marvel to represent one sect of gods and Wonder Woman represented the other. should have been a great battle.

    Batman #126

I'm really liking this story so far. Failsafe is a seriously dangerous, unrelenting enemy at this point.

So refreshing from the previous Joker and Riddler story arcs.

I feel like I've seen Failsafe somewhere before and I think Bruce on the last page might be giving us a clue... to one of the wonkiest periods in recent Batman history.*

The art and action are fantastic.

    SPOILER!!!

    Who remembers ZUR-EN-ARRH! ?

I'm reading that the upcoming Batgirl movie has been shelved after 70 million has been put into it.

maybe someone is finally using some common sense over there.

    Dark Crisis #3

I really liked this issue. Well written and beautiful art.

You can really feel the tension between Black Adam and Superman (Jon Kent).

Some of the younger heroes do seem to be as worthless and Adam says they are and absolutely do not have what it will take to fight the Great Darkness.

Not exactly sure what happened with Hall and the GL Corp... but I'm glad it's him leading them all to wherever they went.

Too bad the last page was pretty anticlimactic and a bit of a let down. I feel like I've seen that scene played out over and over again with the exact same villain... and Punchline is there Lol! give me a break. I hope she's there to DIE!

    Default Kindle and/or Comixology

Does anyone here use a Kindle or Comixology to read comics? I am looking to give it a go, but I had heard that Amazon screwed up the apps pretty bad and are very slow in addressing the problems. I'd appreciate any feedback and/or recommendations you can provide.

picked up dark crisis 3. slow moving story. it feels like the first 3 issues should have taken place before the mini series started. it was cool seeing the JSA and the GL corps.

Comixology was great. Amazon killed it hard and ugly. Too much to cover.

    Maybe starting here helps.

Agree. I was a Comixology user for years, since well before Amazon acquired it. Can’t believe they torpedoed it.

That's cool, Scotty. I'm glad there are folks out there who can say they'll remember what a great tool / experience that Comixology provided.

I never minded dumping some good old fashioned comic cash there.

DC Launches a New Justice Society of America Series by Geoff Johns and Mikel Janin

I hope this is good. One of my fondest comic book memories is the old DC/All-Star Comics JSA series from the mid to late 70's.

I appreciate the reply. I bought a Kindle Fire 10 in hopes of reading comics digitally (and cheaper). Hopefully, Amazon (or SOMEBODY) will bring back the old Comixology system or or come up with something even better.

For my likes, DC Universe Infinite is a gold mine for the price and works great on Fire 10, same as I have.

An actual vast DC library for the reading.

I'm sure every company has something like it.

Comixology is dead... just a logo for Amazon Kindle now. It was such a great app on the Fire 10 or any PC. The perfect modern tech comic book. Sad.

Kindle purchased comics on the F10 works great also for reading purposes. I have to use it since that is where they stuck my 10 year old Comixology library.

One good thing about the merger is I stopped buying new releases at market price. Lol! I pick and choose a few new books each month but have also dumped about 15-20 I was keeping up with. Expensive hobby these days.

best news I've heard in forever from DC. I'm looking forward to this, his run on JSA a few years back was great.
