I went to the comic store I've been going to since 91ish. first time I ever went into a store and NOTHING stood out to me as worth buying (in terms of new stuff). still no justice league, titians looked shitty. I did pick up the latest issue of JSA and it was ok.

they opened a store up closer to me and I went in there and it was awesome. I picked up a ton of stuff from the late 70's and early 80's. a few issues of Legion of Super Hero's, just great, great old school comic book fun.

I can't believe they still don't have a Justice League book out there

random, but just finishing up volume 1 of the spawn omnibus. that book really was incredible in its day.

DC started their All In initiative a few weeks ago. I bought the issue and it was ok. I get what they are trying to do.

I also bought a couple of the absolute power spin offs, one of them had the Global Guardians who are pretty unknown but I've always thought they had a ton of potential. they were represented well here which is totally shocking to me, I was sure they were just going to kill a bunch of them off.

last issue of absolute power was ok.

I guess Jim Lee is going to be drawing some batman stuff....we'll see how that goes.

Justice League Unlimited #1

New book out this week. I assume it's the start of a new series... but we all know how that goes.

Written by Mark Waid and Art by Dan Mora... so at least it's got that going for it compared to past JLA reboots. Dan Mora kicks ass.

stopped at the LCS last night and picked up the 1st issue of the new Justice League. it was OK. it'll be interesting to see how this is gonna work cause they still have the core members. maybe like Justice League unlimited? hope it works

I picked up a multiverse book they were selling. artwork is child like. I know it's subjective but to me it was terrible. I didn't have time to read it last night so maybe it'll be a great story. DC is throwing a lot of stuff out there right now, lets see what sticks.

I probably mentioned this before but a new shop opened a few miles from where I live. they HAVE a ton of books for 2 bucks but then they have a ton of higher priced books. they had the first appearance of Deadpool (which I have), it was in one of those plastic shells and was graded a 9.6. they were selling it for 700 bucks. I told them I have a mint or near mint copy and the guy said I'd be lucky to get 200 for it since it wasn't in a shell and graded. I was like "what a scam". the company that does that basically created it by themselves a few years ago and now its supposed to be the standard.

ok, whatever. if someone really wants that book I can get around 500 bucks for it graded or not. it's a near mint copy, meaning I read it about 2 times, it's pretty much in the same condition I bought it as back in what? 89 or the very early 90's.

new book prices are out of hand too. 5.99 for the first issue of the new Justice League book. I remember I only got 3 bucks for an allowance, and I could go to 7-11 and buy 4 comics.... times they are a changing, I guess.

opps, my bad. sorry about that. I bought it with a few other books and a couple of those were 5.99, I made a mistake and I apologize. just got JL 1 confused with the other book. my bad in every way possible.

I liked that they actually used Airwave in the first issue, he shoulda been in his updated costume but it was still cool to see.

I have a subscription to DC Unlimited and just read the Ultra comics that are available online to read about a week or two after street release dates. Haven't bought an actual book or download in years. Never bought them for future value ever. Makes me wonder what I have at home that could bring in some extra cash.

Once Amazon fucked up the great Comixology, that was it for me basically.

if you don't mind how much is DC Unlimited? do they have a library of old comics?

DC Universe Infinite $128.69 a year which breaks down to about 32 $3.99 actual books. Yes there is a vast library of all or probably most titles going back to the start of DC in the 30's-40's
